Глава 2

1 Когда Вечный захотел вознести Ильяса на небо в вихре, Ильяс и Елисей шли из Гилгала.

2 Ильяс сказал Елисею: – Прошу, останься здесь. Вечный посылает меня в Вефиль. Но Елисей сказал: – Верно, как и то, что жив Вечный и жив ты сам, – я не оставлю тебя! И они пошли в Вефиль.

3 Ученики пророков из Вефиля вышли к Елисею и спросили: – Знаешь ли ты, что Вечный возьмёт от тебя сегодня твоего господина? – Да, я знаю, – ответил он. – Молчите.

4 Ильяс сказал: – Елисей, прошу, останься здесь. Вечный посылает меня в Иерихон. Елисей ответил: – Верно, как и то, что жив Вечный и жив ты сам, – я не оставлю тебя! И они пошли в Иерихон.

5 Ученики пророков из Иерихона подошли к Елисею и спросили его: – Знаешь ли ты, что Вечный возьмёт от тебя сегодня твоего господина? – Да, я знаю, – ответил он. – Молчите.

6 Ильяс сказал ему: – Прошу, останься здесь. Вечный посылает меня к Иордану. Елисей ответил: – Верно, как и то, что жив Вечный и жив ты сам, – я не оставлю тебя! И они вместе пошли дальше.

7 Пятьдесят пророческих учеников пришли и встали поодаль напротив них, когда оба они остановились у Иордана.

8 Ильяс снял плащ, скатал его и ударил им по воде. Вода разомкнулась вправо и влево, и они оба переправились по сухой земле.

9 Когда они переправились, Ильяс сказал Елисею: – Скажи, что мне для тебя сделать, прежде чем я буду взят от тебя? – Дай мне унаследовать твой дух в двойной мере, – ответил Елисей.

10 – Трудного просишь, – сказал Ильяс. – Если ты увидишь, как я буду взят от тебя, то случится по-твоему, а если нет, то не случится этого.

11 Когда они ещё шли и разговаривали, внезапно явились огненная колесница и огненные кони и разлучили их, и Ильяс вознёсся в вихре на небо.

12 Елисей смотрел на это и кричал: – Отец мой! Отец мой! Колесница и конница Исраила! А когда он уже не мог его видеть, то взялся за одежду и в глубокой скорби разорвал её.

13 Он подобрал плащ, который упал с Ильяса, пошёл назад и встал на берегу Иордана.

14 Он взял тот упавший плащ и ударил им по воде. – Где сейчас Вечный, Бог Ильяса? – сказал он. Когда он ударил по воде, она разомкнулась вправо и влево, и он переправился через реку.

15 Ученики пророков из Иерихона, которые видели это, сказали: – Дух Ильяса перешёл на Елисея. Они вышли ему навстречу и поклонились ему до земли.

16 – У твоих рабов есть пятьдесят крепких мужчин, – сказали они. – Позволь, они пойдут и поищут твоего господина. Может быть, Дух Вечного подхватил его и бросил на одной из гор или в одной из долин? – Нет, – ответил Елисей. – Не посылайте их.

17 Но они настаивали, пока он не сдался и не сказал: – Пошлите их на поиски. И они послали пятьдесят мужчин, которые искали три дня, но не нашли Ильяса.

18 Когда они вернулись к Елисею, который оставался в Иерихоне, он сказал им: – Разве я не говорил вам не ходить?

19 Жители города сказали Елисею: – Господин, как ты видишь, этот город расположен хорошо, но вода тут плохая и земля бесплодна.

20 – Принесите мне новую чашу, – сказал он, – и положите в неё соли. Они принесли ему.

21 Он вышел к источнику и бросил в него соль, говоря: – Так говорит Вечный: «Я очистил эту воду. Никогда впредь не будет от неё ни смерти, ни бесплодия».

22 И по сегодняшний день вода остаётся здоровой по слову, которое сказал Елисей.

23 Оттуда Елисей пошёл в Вефиль. Когда он шёл по дороге, из города вышло несколько подростков, которые стали смеяться над ним: – Иди отсюда, лысый! – кричали они. – Иди отсюда, лысый!

24 Он обернулся, посмотрел на них и проклял их во имя Вечного. И из леса вышли две медведицы и растерзали из них сорок два ребёнка.

25 А он пошёл к горе Кармил и оттуда вернулся в Самарию.

2 Kings

Chapter 2

1 And it came1961 to pass, when the LORD3068 would take5927 up Elijah452 into heaven8064 by a whirlwind,5591 that Elijah452 went3212 with Elisha477 from Gilgal.1537

2 And Elijah452 said559 to Elisha,477 Tarry3427 here,6311 I pray4994 you; for the LORD3068 has sent7971 me to Bethel.1008 And Elisha477 said559 to him, As the LORD3068 lives,2416 and as your soul5315 lives,2416 I will not leave5800 you. So they went3381 down3381 to Bethel.1008

3 And the sons1121 of the prophets5030 that were at Bethel1008 came3318 forth3318 to Elisha,477 and said559 to him, Know3045 you that the LORD3068 will take3947 away your master113 from your head7218 to day?3117 And he said,559 Yes,1571 I know3045 it; hold2814 you your peace.2814

4 And Elijah452 said559 to him, Elisha,477 tarry3427 here,6311 I pray4994 you; for the LORD3068 has sent7971 me to Jericho.3405 And he said,559 As the LORD3068 lives,2416 and as your soul5315 lives,2416 I will not leave5800 you. So they came935 to Jericho.3405

5 And the sons1121 of the prophets5030 that were at Jericho3405 came5066 to Elisha,477 and said559 to him, Know3045 you that the LORD3068 will take3947 away your master113 from your head7218 to day?3117 And he answered,559 Yes,1571 I know3045 it; hold2814 you your peace.2814

7 And fifty2572 men376 of the sons1121 of the prophets5030 went,1980 and stood5975 to view5048 afar7350 off: and they two8147 stood5975 by Jordan.3383

8 And Elijah452 took3947 his mantle,155 and wrapped1563 it together, and smote5221 the waters,4325 and they were divided2673 here and thither,2008 so that they two8147 went5674 over5674 on dry2724 ground.

9 And it came1961 to pass, when they were gone5674 over,5674 that Elijah452 said559 to Elisha,477 Ask7592 what4100 I shall do6213 for you, before2962 I be taken3947 away from you. And Elisha477 said,559 I pray4994 you, let a double8147 portion6310 of your spirit7307 be on me.

10 And he said,559 You have asked7592 a hard7185 thing: nevertheless, if518 you see7200 me when I am taken3947 from you, it shall be so3651 to you; but if518 not, it shall not be so.

11 And it came1961 to pass, as they still went1980 on, and talked,1696 that, behold,2009 there appeared a chariot7393 of fire,784 and horses5483 of fire,784 and parted6504 them both8147 asunder;996 and Elijah452 went5927 up by a whirlwind5591 into heaven.8064

12 And Elisha477 saw7200 it, and he cried,6817 My father,1 my father,1 the chariot7393 of Israel,3478 and the horsemen6571 thereof. And he saw7200 him no3808 more:5750 and he took hold2388 of his own clothes,899 and rent7167 them in two8147 pieces.7168

13 He took7311 up also the mantle155 of Elijah452 that fell5307 from him, and went7725 back,7725 and stood5975 by the bank8193 of Jordan;3383

14 And he took3947 the mantle155 of Elijah452 that fell5307 from him, and smote5221 the waters,4325 and said,559 Where346 is the LORD3068 God430 of Elijah?452 and when he also had smitten5221 the waters,4325 they parted2673 here and thither:2008 and Elisha477 went5674 over.5674

15 And when the sons1121 of the prophets5030 which834 were to view5048 at Jericho3405 saw7200 him, they said,559 The spirit7307 of Elijah452 does rest5117 on5921 Elisha.477 And they came935 to meet7125 him, and bowed7812 themselves to the ground776 before him.

16 And they said559 to him, Behold2009 now,4994 there be with your servants5650 fifty2572 strong2428 men;582 1121 let them go,3212 we pray4994 you, and seek1245 your master:113 lest6435 peradventure the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 has taken5375 him up, and cast7993 him on some259 mountain,2022 or176 into some259 valley.1516 And he said,559 You shall not send.7971

17 And when they urged6484 him till5704 he was ashamed,954 he said,559 Send.7971 They sent7971 therefore fifty2572 men;376 and they sought1245 three7969 days,3117 but found4672 him not.

18 And when they came7725 again7725 to him, (for he tarried3427 at Jericho,3405) he said559 to them, Did I not say559 to you, Go3212 not?

19 And the men582 of the city5892 said559 to Elisha,477 Behold,2009 I pray4994 you, the situation4186 of this2088 city5892 is pleasant,2896 as my lord113 sees:7200 but the water4325 is naught,7451 and the ground776 barren.7921

20 And he said,559 Bring3947 me a new2319 cruse,6746 and put7760 salt4417 therein.8033 And they brought3947 it to him.

21 And he went3318 forth3318 to the spring4161 of the waters,4325 and cast7993 the salt4417 in there,8033 and said,559 Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 I have healed7495 these428 waters;4325 there8033 shall not be from there any more5750 death4194 or barren7921 land.

22 So the waters4325 were healed7495 to this2088 day,3117 according to the saying1697 of Elisha477 which834 he spoke.1696

23 And he went5927 up from there8033 to Bethel:1008 and as he was going5927 up by the way,1870 there came3318 forth3318 little6996 children5288 out of the city,5892 and mocked7046 him, and said559 to him, Go5927 up, you bald7142 head; go5927 up, you bald7142 head.

24 And he turned6437 back,310 and looked7200 on them, and cursed7043 them in the name8034 of the LORD.3068 And there came3318 forth3318 two8147 she bears1677 out of the wood,3293 and tare1234 forty705 and two8147 children3206 of them.

25 And he went3212 from there8033 to mount2022 Carmel,3760 and from there8033 he returned7725 to Samaria.8111

10 – Трудного просишь, – сказал Ильяс. – Если ты увидишь, как я буду взят от тебя, то случится по-твоему, а если нет, то не случится этого.

10 And he said,559 You have asked7592 a hard7185 thing: nevertheless, if518 you see7200 me when I am taken3947 from you, it shall be so3651 to you; but if518 not, it shall not be so.

11 Когда они ещё шли и разговаривали, внезапно явились огненная колесница и огненные кони и разлучили их, и Ильяс вознёсся в вихре на небо.

11 And it came1961 to pass, as they still went1980 on, and talked,1696 that, behold,2009 there appeared a chariot7393 of fire,784 and horses5483 of fire,784 and parted6504 them both8147 asunder;996 and Elijah452 went5927 up by a whirlwind5591 into heaven.8064

18 And when they came7725 again7725 to him, (for he tarried3427 at Jericho,3405) he said559 to them, Did I not say559 to you, Go3212 not?

19 Жители города сказали Елисею: – Господин, как ты видишь, этот город расположен хорошо, но вода тут плохая и земля бесплодна.

19 And the men582 of the city5892 said559 to Elisha,477 Behold,2009 I pray4994 you, the situation4186 of this2088 city5892 is pleasant,2896 as my lord113 sees:7200 but the water4325 is naught,7451 and the ground776 barren.7921

20 – Принесите мне новую чашу, – сказал он, – и положите в неё соли. Они принесли ему.

20 And he said,559 Bring3947 me a new2319 cruse,6746 and put7760 salt4417 therein.8033 And they brought3947 it to him.

21 Он вышел к источнику и бросил в него соль, говоря: – Так говорит Вечный: «Я очистил эту воду. Никогда впредь не будет от неё ни смерти, ни бесплодия».

21 And he went3318 forth3318 to the spring4161 of the waters,4325 and cast7993 the salt4417 in there,8033 and said,559 Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 I have healed7495 these428 waters;4325 there8033 shall not be from there any more5750 death4194 or barren7921 land.

22 И по сегодняшний день вода остаётся здоровой по слову, которое сказал Елисей.

22 So the waters4325 were healed7495 to this2088 day,3117 according to the saying1697 of Elisha477 which834 he spoke.1696

23 Оттуда Елисей пошёл в Вефиль. Когда он шёл по дороге, из города вышло несколько подростков, которые стали смеяться над ним: – Иди отсюда, лысый! – кричали они. – Иди отсюда, лысый!
